The REAL problem...

Satan tries to get us to forget the past and the future.

He gets us down by making us forget WHO WE ARE, miracles we have experienced, happiness and peace we have felt, and revelation we have received.

He makes us feel like there is no hope for the future, that we will never feel peaceful or happy again, that we are incapable of handling the tasks placed before us, and that how we feel in the here and now is what we are doomed to feel forever.

Well, guess what.

Satan is a LIAR.

And he's pretty convincing, too.

But press forward, be believing, and the light will come. 

"Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good."

-Romans 12:21-

His darkening influence will not, it CAN not, last forever. He'll try, and he'll keep trying, again and again, over and over, but the sooner we recognize that it's him (and not Heavenly Father, and NOT us) and fill our lives with things that bring light, the sooner he will be forced to leave.

He will try to make you feel like YOU are the problem.

Well, you aren't.

You know who you are.

You are a child of the Most High God.

With Him, you can do all things.

ALL THINGS.

That is a promise, and it is real.

It makes Satan mad, so he tries to get you to not believe it.

ESPECIALLY after the fact.

It usually happens right after times when you feel great.

Then all of a sudden, BAM!

Satan.

And you're left to wonder, "why?! I was feeling so great!"

Well Satan realized that, and he didn't like it.

It's still hard and confusing and so so difficult, but sometimes just recognizing that the things we are feeling are Satan and not us gives us the strength we need to move forward in faith and trust that this too shall pass, and we will feel at peace again.

HE is the problem.

Not you.

You have God on your side, so you can do anything.

How?

Because of this.

The enabling power of the atonement of Jesus Christ.
