My morning:
My alarm didn't go off. I woke up at 6:50 for my 7:00 Zumba class.
I jumped out of bed and didn't even change my clothes, i just brushed my teeth, put shoes on, grabbed my keys, and ran out the door.
It had snowed.
I ran to my car and unlocked it, but it wouldn't open because the door was frozen shut.
I called my Zumba buddy and we decided we would walk
and meet each other at the corner of campus.
So I started half walking/half running (runking) to our meeting spot, trying not to fall on my face on the ice.
Then I spotted a girl in front of me on crutches, slowly making her way to the bus stop.
I knew I had to stop and talk to her.
I mean, you can't run past a girl on crutches on a dark, freezing cold morning without at least offering some encouragement.
Seriously Heavenly Father, right now?!
So I stopped running and walked with her to the bus stop
Then I started runking again,
trying to put on my gloves and zip up my coat while doing so.
At some point in this process, my glove got stuck in my zipper, so I started flapping my hand around like a mad woman trying to get it unstuck (all the while still runking).
I finally reached the point where my friends were waiting for me,
and we runked all the way to the RB, making it just in time for Zumba,
which was epic and booty-licious, like always.
Afterwards, I walked the long walk home pondering my life.
I said a prayer to my Heavenly Father, telling Him my current fears and worries, asking Him for help with my day, and thanking him for this
wonderful crazy life that I am so blessed to live.
Sometimes I feel like I'm runking along in life, stumbling and slipping and rushing about trying to do a million things at once.
But the beautiful thing about life is we never runk alone.
Our Savior is always there.
That doesn't mean life is easy, or even that we can always feel Him there.
But take a look back on your life, and think of all the times He was there when in the moment you thought He wasn't.
I need this reminder a lot.
It's easy to forget that I have a best friend who understands me perfectly and is always willing to help with whatever crazy issue i'm dealing with at the moment.
It sounds ridiculous that you can forget about someone like that, but it happens.
So today, as you are runking along through all the many things you have to get done,
I challenge you to say a little prayer for help to notice His hand in your life.
And I promise you will see it.
Amen.
