The BEST day of my life.

**Fair warning, this post is going to be long, but good. I just don't want to forget any details from the best night of my life.
And I also may be trying to get over the fact that BYU lost the game this weekend....

This weekend was amazing.

AMAZING.

Both my roommates were gone all weekend, so I had the apartment all to myself! I was scared I would be really lonely, but it actually turned out to be pretty fun!

{top ten}

1. Friday was my LAST DAY of full time work! It is SUCH a relief to be done. I am very proud of myself for sticking it out! It was hard, but I did it!

2. I got home from work on Friday and Kathryn came over. We decided to go shopping, so we drove up to the Traverse Mountain Outlets and shopped to our hearts' content. I got a couple shirts, a cardigan, and a sassy red dress. 'Twas grand.

3. We got home from shopping, ate some dark chocolate Cadbury Eggs for dinner, and then went stargazing in Lehi with a bunch of people from the ward. We brought a ton of blankets and just laid in the middle of a field, with our heads all in the middle. The universe is so beautiful!

Dinner, yumm....
4. We got home from stargazing super late, and I didn't want to be alone, so Kathryn and M.E. slept over. We pulled our mattresses to the livin' room and made a nice little bed.
M.E. and I stayed up talking until 4 a.m., and we had the BEST talk! I love love love pillow talk. I'm a firm believer that it is when true friendships are formed :)

5. The next morning we slept in and then we watched P.S. I Love You. This movie is one of my fave romances. I love the storyline, I love the music, and I LOVE his accent. Mmmm. Dang boy.

(love love love this song)

(love this one too)

6. After the movie it was already 1:00, and I was leaving for the concert in an hour, so we decided it was probably time to get ready for the day.

So I was getting ready in my room, and I came out into the living room to grab something, and the light fixture on the ceiling had fallen off- right onto my mattress where my head had been!

I could have died.

Then I wouldn't have been able to go to the concert and have the best night of my life!

7. So we went to the concert. It was in Park City. On our way there it started to rain. By the time we got there, it was pouring.  I got out of the car and it was like I'd jumped into a lake. So much for getting all cute. And I was in a dress (the sassy red one I bought the day before). Awesome. I have never been in a worse rainstorm. In my whole life. But it was for One Republic, so it was worth it.

This is me. In the rain.

8. We waited in line and got our tickets, and then after about an hour and a half they started letting us onto the lawn (luckily the rain had stopped). We had general admission tickets on the lawn (the bottom of the totem pole), so I had prepared myself for crappy seats. We got front row. Holla!

9. We played games on our blankets for a while, and then Serena Ryder (the first opener) came on. She was pretty good, nothin' too exciting. And then Sara Bareilles came out.

Oh. My. Gosh.

She is SO good live. It was amazing.

Sara on stage.

My favorites were Hercules (she forgot the words, it was awesome), Cassiopeia, I Choose You, Brave, and Eden.

(she said she wrote this song for two of her fans who were getting married
and wanted a "happy song" for their wedding)

After she left the stage me and Shayne were super sad, because she hadn't sung Chasing the Sun (our fave). But then she came back! But she sang Brave. But then she said she would do one more song. Me and Shayne started going crazy, jumping up and down with our fingers crossed....

Yep, it was our song.

 And it was AWESOME.

Shayne during Sara Bareilles.

10. There was a break in between, and then One Republic came on. I can't even think of any words to describe how awesome it was. I was so happy.

They sang (in order):
Light It Up, Secrets, What You Wanted, Counting Stars, Apologize (with We Found Love snippet), Come Home, All the Right Moves, I Gotta Woman/Gold Digger, Can't Stop (my fave at the time), I Lived (my fave now), Good Life (with Midnight City snippet), Feel Again, Life in Color, and last but not least, If I Lose Myself (best one of the concert).

I danced and sang and fist-pumped and probably looked like an idiot,
but I don't even care.

It was SO GOOD!

Ryan Tedder is a babe, and his voice is so flippin' gorgeous.

And now I can't stop listening to them. I'm in love!

Me, Shayne, Adam, Rob, John, and Peter after the concert.

11. The traffic was crazy afterwards, so it took me and John fOreVeR to get out of there. So we listened to One Republic (naturally) and sang at the top of our lungs. And then we got chicken nuggets from McDonald's. And drove home through the canyon.

Perfect ending to a perfect night!

Life is good :)
