Life Lately.

Today I had class and work from 8-5, took a nap, got ahead on my homework, went to dinner group, visited Traci, played the piano on campus for 2 hours, went for a run, and did more homework.

And I still have time to make a blog post.

It's been a pretty boss day.

{top ten}

1. Hilariousness of the week:

(me and M.E. have watched this over and over, and it just gets funnier each time)

2. It is FALL

I love fall. For the following reasons:

-blue skies
-crisp, cool air
-sweaters, leggins, and boots
-football games
-pumpkin candles
-crunchy leaves
-the mountains
-gorgeous sunsets
-holidays

3. I went to the BYU game last Friday against Mid Tennessee. It was SO COLD.
But we won!

Desi was gonna get me on the field before the game (since he's an alumni), but it turns out he can only get two people on per game (so him and Ali went). But I still got a free dinner before the game! And he said next home game he'll hook up me and one of my friends.

Boo-yah!

Me and my friendlies at the game
(??, John, me, Rob, Annie, Lauren, Drew, Ben).

4. The power of prayer is so real. I've had to rely on it a lot lately, and it has sustained me so much.

When we pray,
we are literally talking with the God of the universe.

And he listens.

How cool is that?

5. Saturday night I went to the General Relief Society broadcast (for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints). President Monson's talk was so good. It was just for me, it said exactly what I needed to hear.
I couldn't stop crying. The whole time.

Find it here: President Monson's flippin' awesome talk

6. After the broadcast, me and my girlfriends had a girls night.

We.....

-made a girl's only bucket list
-painted nails
-did face masks
-gave each other massages
-played with each others hair (hairs?)
-watched Stomp the Yard and Step Up (see the theme?)
-stuffed our faces with chips, guac, salsa, queso, snickerdoodles from Macy's, candy corns, and caramel apple milky ways (save yourself the calories and don't try those)
-snuggled

It was so great.

Sometimes boys are silly and you just need a nice chillaxin' girls night.

Oh, and I scared the crap out of M.E. when I had my face mask on. I didn't think I looked THAT scary! What do you think?

7. I have seen SO many tender mercies lately. I mentioned earlier how I've been relying a lot on prayer. Well, it's definitely been working. Here are just a few examples:

-I have been passing my Anatomy quizzes. And not just passing them, but almost ace-ing them. But I hardly ever have time to study. It's like I go in there and my mind is opened, and I just know the answers.

-I almost stepped in a pile of throw up in the parking lot this morning on my way to work, but I saw it just in time (hey, it's a blessing!)

-I got to Geology today, and realized I hadn't done part of my homework assignment that was due. But the TA randomly decided to not show up to class, so we got an extension on the assignment.

"All these things denote there is a God...." (Alma 30:44)

8. I've been driving to Spanish Fork each Sunday to chill with Ali and Desi and their fam. Which means I drive on the freeway.

I used to be TERRIFIED of that.

It was ridiculous.

I would get shaky and feel like crying every time I would have to use an on-ramp.
Pathetic, I know.

But now I am {slowly but surely} getting over that fear!

I still get lost every time I go.

But hopefully I'll get over that soon too.

(on-ramps are scary.)

9. Ether 12:27:

"And if {you} come unto me I will show unto {you your} weakness.

I give unto {you} weakness that {you} may be humble....

for if {you} humble{yourself} before me,

and have faith in me,

then will I make weak things become strong unto {you}."

So basically-

We feel weakest when we come unto Christ.
Because he is exposing our weaknesses and turning them into strengths.
So when we feel weak, we are actually being made strong.
He changes us, purifies us, and helps us be better.
He's pretty awesome.

10. General Conference is in less than ONE WEEK!

I can't wait.

I LOVE General Conference.

{listen}

Ben showed me the Battle Born album by The Killers,
and the whole thing is uh-may-zing.
This song is one of my faves.

"Miss Atomic Bomb"

Good night peeps!
