the Prince of Peace

Yesterday I got to go with my ward to the
LDS First Presidency Christmas Devotional up in Salt Lake.

The music was amazing, and the talks were as well.

There is just something about actually being in the conference center
that makes the Spirit that much stronger.

Jesus Christ really is the "Prince of Peace."
{watch my favorite talk here and watch the whole thing here}

In other news, when we were going through security to get into the conference center,
I made the beepy thing go off....

A security guard lady pulled me aside and made me unbutton my jacket so she could check all my pockets, and then she started asking me questions like, "Do you have any guns?" and "Are you carrying any knives?" I was really freaked out and kept telling her I didn't (do I look like a killer to you lady?!).

Then she told me I had to go see the big, scary
"security man" so he could figure out what to do with me.

Then I remembered I had my phone in my pocket still.
I gave it to security guard lady and walked through the beepy thing again, and this time it didn't go off, and she let me go.

Freedom never tasted so sweet!

After the devotional,
we walked around and looked at all of the Christmas lights on Temple Square.

Happy Monday!
