Ukuleles, Prayer, and Applesauce....

{top ten}

1. I set a goal to go running 5 days this week, and guess what? I did it!! I had to force myself to go almost every time, and sometimes I
only went for a ten-minute run, but I still did it! :)

2. This past week my friend has been teaching me how to
play the ukulele, and I think I'm in love!

I want this turquoise uke. Really bad.

3. I was able to cross an item off my bucket list this week! Monday my friends and I were driving home from FHE at Bishop's barn in Springville, and it was a beautiful summer's night. I decided I felt like standing up out of the sun roof, so I did! It was an awesome experience, with the wind blowing in my hair and music blasting from the front seat.... (except it smelled like cows really bad... but it was still worth it).

4. I got to go to the temple this week with my roommate and our friend! It was so nice. It was almost empty, and my roommate had a bunch of family names, so it was really cool to be able to do those for her. I love the temple so much! Whenever I go to the temple I think about this quote by Sister Dalton: 

"You will emerge from the temple accompanied by angels and endowed with power from on high.
This will enable you to navigate the increasingly turbulent times with a peaceful walk."

5. I learned that one of the ways Heavenly Father shows His love for us is through other people. This week I definitely felt that love, and I'm so grateful for those confirmations that he knows and loves me!

6. So I was sitting at work one day, eating my applesauce, when I looked down at the lid and saw the ingredients....

Carrot juice? And green bell pepper juice?? What the what? And it's peach flavored, but there is nothing peachy in it at all.... haha anyways, it just made me laugh :)

7. I bought Apple Jacks. Which is one of my favorite cereals. Yay!
Except they're almost gone.... shooot....

I love how they "poured out their souls" to God, and then he "visited the with assurances" that brought them peace, faith and hope, and then they "took courage" and went forward "fixed with a determination" to conquer their enemies.
It's just like life. We pray, he gives us strength, and then we go and do. But it isn't just a one time thing. He had to give them multiple assurances, just like he give us. Sometimes I think we even need those assurances multiple times a day. But help always comes, especially when we pray with power.
I've been trying to work on that lately, and it's been amazing :)

9. On Saturday night Lauren and Annie and I made pazookies.

10. Last but not least, I just can't wait to be a mom. I'll probably do a post on that later this week. But for now I'll just leave it at that. I'm just so excited to take care of my own little babies some day.
