Don't fight the growth, embrace it.

I stole the title of this post from my best friend's blog, because I think it is SO TRUE.

Life is hard!

Work will be stressful, school will be overwhelming, boys will be dumb, and sometimes you just can't stop crying. "Free time" will disappear, bad hair days will happen (or sometimes it seems more like bad hair weeks...), people will change, and sometimes for no seemingly good reason at all, life just straight up stinks.

BUT.

I know it is always for our good.

"Please understand that what you see and experience now is not what forever will be.
You will not feel loneliness, sorrow, pain, or discouragement forever...
Be assured that if you but hold on, believe in Him, and remain faithful,
one day you will experience for yourselves the promises revealed to the Apostle Paul:
'Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.'"
~President Dieter F. Uchtdorf
(from the talk "You Matter to Him" given in the October 2011 General Conference)

Don't let the worries of the moment cloud your vision of the future.

You were made for GREATNESS.

But the only way you will be GREAT is if you GROW, and growing can be hard.

But it is also a journey.

What if you learned to enjoy the journey?

No matter what is happening in the moment, life continues to move on around us. No matter what we may say or feel, some things just don't change.

Yes, life is hard.

But there are also people who care, new things to learn, music to listen to and songs to be sung. Friends to be made, sunsets to enjoy, people to serve and people to love.

There is always something to laugh about, interesting foods to eat, inspiration to give and inspiration to receive.

Don't fight your journey. Embrace it.

It is yours.

And you are His.
